I don't think I understand this. Is this good press or bad press for that nice Scottish man?


It seems to be implying a degree Schadenfreude and opportunism on Chatshow's behalf.

Though I believe that the LibDems will actually welcome this, as the imagery is right up their street: tank on fire; pissing on Blair etc

It's basically about Charlie being in the position where he can justifiably put the boot in even though doing so is a bit distasteful. - As I see it.

It's good for Chatshow's image though, because he's usually portrayed as someone who won't roll his sleeves up and get stuck in to the dirty work of political discourse.

It's more his style to make measured comments from the sidelines in the hope of picking up the support of the metropolitan intelligentsia who generally find politics beneath them.
