2005 Election Celebrity Endorsements

With public apathy rising, the celebrity endorsers are scurrying from their respective political ships.

No sign of New Labour luvvies Tony Robinson, Richard Wilson and that hard looking bloke from EastEnders. But Tony did pull one out of the bag this week at a press conference in Oldham. The now seemingly inseparable Blair and Brown were joined by boot-kicker extraordinaire Sir Alex Ferguson.

Not to be out done, the Conservatives revealed… erm, no-one. In fact, quite the opposite. The usual Tory PR exercise of making sure Frank Bruno and Jim Davison keep their dangerous mouths firmly closed is fully underway.

Rumours are circulating around Westminster that that the Liberal Democrats are planning to reveal their surprise celebrity endorsement: Papa Lazarou, from BBC Two's The League of Gentlemen. Hello Dave
